Last half of July

Our friend Blake arrived the 1st week of July and stays with us until the middle of August, its always nice to have him around.  He is a great house guest and just easy to have around.

Lorenzo, Lorenzo's Mom Linda, Amy, Maddie and Olivia made their yearly trip out here to stay at Barona Beach.  We always have lots of pool time, a couple adventures out on the boat and summer barbeque's with them. We always look forward to their visit's, and its hard to say goodbye when they go!

 

The kids had swimming lessons everyday for 2 weeks, we had to be at the pool for 9am. All 3 kids did so well and Ben went from being a non swimmer to a little fish in just 2 weeks.

Sydney turned 14 months, she is quite the little monster.  She is very busy and into EVERYTHING!!!!  She is a very happy little lady and continues to make us very grateful that we have her in our life.

Brantt, Shauna and Chloe came for a visit and we all went to Skaha Lake in Penticton.  The beach was beautiful, the view was amazing and the water was so nice.  There was a sand bar that went out almost to the buoys, the currant coming from the channel was strong, strongest its been in years. While we were there a 12 year old tourist drowned in the swimming area, her body was not found until 2 days later. This made my heart heavy for quite some time.  It was so sad!

Ambulance and the fire department were ready in case they were able to find the girl alive. Our little Sydney was trying to have a nap right in that playpen, but there was to much action at our spot.
