Friday May 27th, todays the day!!!!

Friday May 27th we brought a new life into this world and into our family!

So this is how are day went:

Up at 5am to be at the hospital for 6am.

We are admitted & sent up to labor and delivery.

We get changed into our hospital wear, a gown for me and scrubs for J.

We wait for the surgeon, Dr. Leon and my doctor Dr. Hautula to come see us.

They come in around 7:45am and we discuss that I no longer want to have my tubes tied and they agree that if I am unsure that we shouldn't do it.

Its 8am, they roll me into the surgery room without Jason

The anesthesiologist explains my spinal to me and then he proceeds with his procedure.

Everything goes smoothly and Dr Leon starts to cut open my incision, I quickly say "what about my hubby"?

A nurse runs and grabs him, phew, that was close.

At 8:23 they say get ready, the baby is coming.

8:25am the baby comes up over the curtain, Jason has a look and says "its a girl"

We are both in shock but so happy, J goes over to watch them get baby cleaned up.

He brings her over and I just can't believe that I am holding our little girl!!!!!

We head across the hall to recovery for an hour.

We start to text our family and tell them the news.

When we text Nana and the kids we only sent them a pic, they wanted to wait until they came to the hospital to know if it was a boy or a girl.

I guess they thought it was a boy when they saw the picture.

Benny said "its a boy for sure!

The nurse then weighs the baby and she is 6lbs, 13oz and is 19" inches long.

We get moved to our room that has 4 beds but only one other bed is in use.

A few minutes later Nana, Aunty Lindsay, Ben and Sam show up.

They are so surprised to find out we have a girl.

We still can't decide on a name, so aunty googles girl names on her cell phone.

We here the name Sydney and we all say "that's it"

Ben wanted Elise so bad so we say "how about Sydney Elise"

We all agree that its perfect!

Everyone wanted to help carry Sydney out to the car

And that was our last and final time that we will ever be at the hospital experiencing one of the most amazing blessings ever, I have to say that I cried as we left knowing that part of my life is done.  

Now the fun begins as we raise our family and start our journey as a family of 6!
